Teri Van Horn

I have been a special event planner since 1989 and have had the pleasure of participating in over 400 weddings and special events. In addition to working with clients, I spend a great deal of time giving back to the community by assisting with serving on boards and in positions for various non-profit organizations.

As Washington and Austin County's only Certified Professional Bridal Consultant and Event Planner, Events! specializes in weddings and special events to suit your unique style and personality. I have been a Certified Professional Bridal Consultant since 1990 with The Association of Bridal Consultants and was featured in Modern Bride Magazine as ''the consultant to go to'' when operating in Houston.

Now based in Chappell Hill, we are able to provide you with the ultimate destination wedding in the heart of Historic Washington and Austin Counties. Events! also specializes as event planners and fundraisers for non-profit organizations and can guarantee you more return for your investment. When working on a non-profit fundraiser - I strive to work with a "zero budget" and recently held a one-hour fundraiser where expenses were $1,800 with a net income of $28,000 for the organization! That's the way I like to run these events, to raise as much money as possible by incurring the least amount of expenses.

We also offer coordination for corporate events, retreats, meetings and conferences. As a Professional Consultant and Designer, we can offer you the opportunity to achieve your event goals, saving you from costly mistakes, and saving you time. With today's hectic lifestyle, many people don't have the time for the detailed planning and amount of work a beautiful and successful event requires. We can do all of this for you!

My philosophy when working on a wedding is simple, I focus on what the couple is interested in, what their desires and preferences are and work to make the day as stress-free and enjoyable as possible.

I am extremely organized, detail oriented and - according to many, - highly creative. I am an expert at making the most of the budget I have to work with, and have many local resources to draw upon. One of my greatest assets is the ability to handle any situation with calm assurance, quick action and the ability to make everyone at ease. All of my clients will attest to this special talent!
